I love the ethereal, spacey, and sort of mournful tune present through the entire album. It's solid, each of the tracks good enough to even be standalone, despite the transitions.
Favorite track: Was That a Lion?.
Very good stuff. Russian circles is a band that creates interesting music, a true musical trip. A lot of ambiances. All their albums are great. My favourites are "enter", "blood year", "empros" and "station". On this one Milano and quartered are fucking heavy. And it's what I need to hear! johanmasson
This album breaks conventions with most post-metal. It at once can be played next to shoegaze then breaks out into a fury of aggression and still remain catchy. For my money Rosetta are at the top of the food chain. After all the amazing albums Rosetta has, it boggles the mind that they can still innovate and surprise me. I love that I can play this next bands as diverse as Ride, Slowdive, Joy Division, The Cure, Godflesh, and Neurosis. It's a pure delight on the ears. Bryon Wilson
